How to Create an EML File

Create an EML file from Gmail

1. Open Email in Gmail for which you want to create .EML file.
     

   

   
   
2. Click on the small downward-facing arrow next right to the Reply arrow of the message in Gmail.
   
   

   

   
   

   
   
3. Use the button with three horizontal dots (next to the Date) for Gmail Inbox.
   

   

   
   

   
   
4. Choose Show original from that menu.

5. Click on Download Original.
   

   

   
   

   
   
6. Save the message with the .EML file extension. Choose All Files from the Save as type: menu instead of Text Document.
   

   

   
   

   
   

   

   
   

   
   
7. To edit the .EML file open with any Text editor.
